7/25 - Telluride   Miles Today: Day Off Total Miles: 210.2

Well, today was an almost do-nothing day. In the morning, we borrowed a couple of mountain bikes from some of Colorado’s friends and hit the mountain. In the off-season here, the Gondola to the top of the mountain is completely free, as is riding the single track trails down the mountain! We spent about an hour and a half riding the trails and checking out the great scenery from the open areas.

We even ended up scaring some of the MTV Real World/Road Rules gang. MTV is in Telluride filming another challenge-type show, which really annoys the locals here. Anyway, we were riding past a group of them on a road when we locked up the breaks just before we went flying past a trailhead. A couple of these tough guys jumped up when we did that. High comedy.

For dinner, we went out to a local sushi place, Honga’s, and had an excellent dinner. They have these incredible drinks called Mohitos, which contains crushed limes and rum. That’s it. Needless to say, these drinks are dangerous. Dinner was fantastic, as was the rest of the night. Need rest.
