Let's see, what did I do on my day off in the DWG as we have come to know it? Nothing really, but this is kind of the point to sit around and let wounds heal, muscles rebuild.

I woke up early this morning, for no apparent reason, and went outside to find out where Colorado and DB had crashed. After stirring those deadbeats we headed down to the Water Gap Diner for a good greasy breakfast. I ate both an Italian omelet and a Belgian waffle, yum.

After amazing the locals with our appetites, we headed back to the hostel to find that most of the late risers had begun to stir. At this point I was still tempted to hike out this afternoon, but it was already extremely hot and my feet were sore from all the PA rocks.

A plan quickly developed for hitching a ride to Stroudsburg and catch a movie/sit in air conditioning for 2 hours. The hitch in wasn't too bad and once again we were able to mall blaze. Colorado, Sage and I cruised the mall and scoped chicks until 1:45 when Wild Wild West was to begin. The movie was good, the a/c was better.

We also bumped into DB, Wasp, Butterfly, Peach Buzz and Highlander all who had gone to see eyes wide shut. After move mall blazing , Sage, Colorado and I left while the girls went to play with Make-up in Bath and Body Works.Rumor has it that DB got a makeover as well. The hitch back to DWG was much more interesting, being on a major road in a busy section of town where most people have no idea what an "AT" is. Undaunted, we made up signs asking for a ride while Colorado begged passing cars to stop. He even got on is knees a few times . after only 10 minutes a woman felt bad for us and while we were a few minutes out of the way for her, she dropped us at the front door of the hostel! trail magic. Back at the hostel, I actually took some time to write! Yes, apparently this journal thing is not enough journal composing for me anymore. To my girlfriends relief, she does not have to type these pages on the computer.

I cooked dinner with Colorado and Sage while DB went to the bar so he could watch wwf wrestling. Yippee. I also caught some of the free concert out on the lawn. It really wasn't my speed, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Right now its still early, around 8:30 and it looks like there is a card game starting up inside. Tomorrow, I will leave about half these people behind as Colorado, db and I are going 25 miles. From there it's 20 mile days for 6 days and then a day off in Hartford with Mama Colorado. After a little break, the hills begin again, which is just fine with me!
