6/25/99 The Plan

So I now have an official plan. I have got back all of the equipment that I sent out to be repaired back, and I am ready to get on my way. I will be catching an early flight out tomorrow, Saturday, into Washington National Airport. From there I will catch a cab from the airport to Linden, VA where the trail has just exited the Shenandoahs.
At this point, I will be a day or two ahead of Drive-By and a few other guys I had been hiking with, but that’s perfect since I need to get my trail legs back. Hopefully, I can hold then off for about four days, by which time I should be almost back in shape.
So my journey has not yet finished. I still have many more miles to walk, and I hope many more great experiences and people to meet. Wish me luck.
