4/29/99 Wesser Bald Shelter   Miles Today : 11 Miles from Springer : 128

Not much today to tell. Cold, wet, miserable. Rained all night and the temps have not gotten over 45 all day. Canned the scheduled 6 miles to N.O.C. since the trail is a mess and I have slipped numerous times. 4:00 PM and I am in my sleeping bag writing this entry with cold hands. Tomorrow cannot get any worse.
